You guys. If you have a baby or toddler runnin around your house going stir crazy during these winter months, I have the cure! ….Edible finger painting has saved us at our house.
I wanted to introduce painting with my babe but he eats EVERYTHING so I didn’t know what kind of paint to use. So why not play with food that he can eat?
The other day I just mixed food coloring in some yogurt (the cheaper the yogurt the better, I only had greek on hand).
And voila!!
Side Note: I’ve also used sour cream, whipped cream for different textures. You can add milk if it’s too thick too.
I put a couple pieces of paper in a plastic baggy so that he could see the contrast of the colors on a white canvas. I taped the baggy on the table and it actually was a really fast clean up because I just tossed it in the trash and through him in the tub when he was done! I didn’t have a table cloth so I put tin foil around the bag so that it wouldn’t get on my table, but you can just put a table cloth underneath the bag.
And like I said…the best part is that he could eat all he wanted and I didn’t need to call poison control. 😉
