Hello fellow Mamas!
I have been on a green smoothie kick lately! Every morning I have been substituting a green
smoothie for breakfast every morning for a few weeks now, and I feel so good! I’m not saying
this is for everyone, but I feel cleaner inside (if that’s even a thing?!). I have a few recipes that
have become my “go-to’s”, and they are delish! I’m definitely no dietitian or nutritionist, but
green smoothies are such a great way to get in a serving or two (or three) of fruits and veggies!!
Not only are these great for you, but green smoothies are a good way to sneak in veggies for
your little one or one’s. Another plus, is that if you have a smoothie compatible water
bottle/mixer bottle, you can take your greens on the go, which as a mom, is definitely a plus!
Green Protein Smoothie:
1 Cup Ice
3⁄4 Cup Kale
1⁄2 Cup Spinach
2 Scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
1⁄2 Cup Frozen Strawberries
1 Banana
1⁄2 Cup Blueberries
1 1⁄2 Cup Milk or Milk Substitute
1⁄2 Cup Cottage Cheese
Blend and Drink UP!
This smoothie recipe makes enough for three servings at 284 Calories, 6 grams of fat, 34.7
grams of Carbs, and 25.4 grams of Protein.
Tropical Greens:
1⁄2 Cup Pineapple
1 Mango
1 Banana
3⁄4 Cup Spinach
3⁄4 Cup Kale
1 1⁄2 Cup Milk
1 Cup Ice
Blend and drink up 🙂
Again, this smoothie makes 3 servings at 232 Calories, 5 grams of Fat, 44.6 grams of Carbs
and 6.4 grams Protein.
Strawberry Banana Green Smoothie
1 Cup Strawberries
1 Banana
1⁄2 Cup Shredded Carrots
3⁄4 Cup Spinach
3⁄4 Cup Kale
1 Cup Ice
1 1⁄2 Cup milk
This one only makes 2 servings, or maybe I like it more so I eat more of it 😉 And it has 209
Calories, 5.5 grams of Fat, 32.7 grams of Carbs, 10.7 grams of Protein.
For all of these smoothies the nutritional value will vary based on the brand and quality of
ingredients you use.
